Project Description

Player Evaluation Coordinator

Besides Joe’s wicked lefty service return, he has a lifelong passion for teaching the game to juniors and adults, improving their skills for competitive tennis. Joe leads the Red Ball and Discovery programs for our very youngest players and is the creator of the much loved Point Play adult drills clinic.

Joe oversees adult player evaluations, placing players in appropriately challenging clinics and on USTA teams. His sense of humor is enjoyed by all who know his fun-loving spirit.

Joe one of 14 children, all of whom played either high school, college or the professional tennis tour. Joe’s sister, Beth was the number one ranked junior in the United States and made it to number 20 on the world professional tour. Joe traveled with Beth on the tour as her hitting partner, until her retirement in 1988. Joe’s brother, Tim was ranked in the top 200 in the world. The Norton Family was voted USTA Family of the Year in 1977.
