Director of Tennis
Kris has been with INTENSITY since 2014. He became Director of Tennis in March 2020, having previously served as Director of Player Development and Director of USTA Adults.
Kris brings over 15 years of High-Performance coaching experience as an Academy Director, Director of Juniors and Junior Coordinator at clubs within Fairfield and Westchester counties. In this time he has coached and developed many junior players that have had top 100 USTA National Rankings and top Regional Rankings.
Kris graduated in 2004 from Niagara University with a B.A. in Business and Sports Management. At Niagara, he played Division I tennis and helped the program to two conference championship appearances.
Kris also heads the Boys Staples High School program in Westport since 2010. He has guided the Wreckers to six Connecticut State Class LL Championships and five FCIAC Championships as the Head Coach of the program. He has compiled a 195-10 (.951) career coaching record. His Wreckers have had four undefeated seasons (21-0), a 63 game team winning streak (2016-2019), three Connecticut State Class LL runners-up and ten straight FCIAC final appearances from 2010-2019. In 2014 he was named FCIAC Coach of the Year and in 2019 was named Westport Sports Person of the Year from the Fairfield County Sports Commission.
