Mindfulness Training practices are unlike many the common cognitive behavior Barres in that it does not attempt to suppress negative thoughts and anxiety, but rather, it brings the athlete’s awareness to them without the accompanying judgment of the experience. Accepting the experience avoids the internal fight of trying to suppress them which ultimately only makes them intensify. In highly stressful situations, Mindfulness Training teaches us how to remain in the moment, stay focused and move onto the next experience.
